WELCOME!!

Welcome to my blog!!

My name is Alicia! I'm a wife and a mother.  I love to take care of my family and go on adventures.  My husband, Thomas, and I have been married since March 2007.  Thomas is currently in Dental School class of 2016, he is also in the Air Force.  We love being married! We have two children, Whitney Kaholumehekainani and Cameron Alaka'iponopau'ole. Thomas is half Hawaiian, hence the unique Hawaiian middle names.
Whitney was born in July 2010, "strong and beautiful like the ocean."  She is a CDH and ECMO survivor.  She currently has a feeding tube and she is the reason I started blogging.  I've always kept a journal, but when I was pregnant with her, I wanted all of my family and friends to know what was going on, so I made it public.  The support is amazing and greatly appreciated.  Cameron was born in November 2012, "a righteous leader forever."  He was born healthy and has no medical issues.  We love our children, they are both so special.
I hope you enjoy this blog about our journey to wean Whitney off the feeding tube.  We appreciate all the prayers, good thoughts, and support while we go through this adventure.
